We tend to be so caught up in our daily jobs and busy lives that we sometimes forget in what a special world we live in. We take it all for granted because we see it every day and don’t really look at things anymore because they’re not new for us. Stop this right now! Because this world is for you! And you should appreciate it every day however you can. Here are 13 little things you can do to appreciate your life more.
I love drawing and sketching and painting and everything about it. I always have. But that doesn’t mean that I’m good at it. Maybe that’s the problem with artists, many of us are perfectionists. We want to be better at it before we even spend the amount of time it takes to get better. And when we do not meet our standards we get frustrated and discouraged. This happens to me a lot, to be honest. 90% of the time I pick up a pencil to draw a picture, I end up hating it. Because my mind wants it to be something it’s not quite able to produce yet.
My father always says a good artist can produce something wonderful even if they have the worst tools to work with. It comes from the artist. That may be true but there are certainly ways to make your drawing experience easier and more fun. And if you have the opportunity to use things that help you bring your inner artist out, you should definitely take it. There are some instruments I just need to use in order to create the picture I want, things I never want to miss. Here are my 5 most essential sketching tools that I recommend everybody to have in their pencil case.
There’s nothing better than a sick beat and some great guitar riffs. Music makes you cry, makes you laugh and makes you dance in your underwear at 3 am. But it can do more than just make you feel good. There’s a reason Plato once said music gives soul to the universe, wings to the wind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.
